Does Subkit Support Referral Programs?

Subkit supports Referral programs. This document explores how you can quickly set up a referral program in a few clicks.

Having a referral program gives your subscribers a reason to spread the word about your service. This essentially means that anybody can offer their friends a discount to subscribe to your service while also earning a discount for themselves. Subkit allows you to set up recurring referral rewards via the following steps.

1. Launch your Marketing menu

From your Subkit menu, navigate to the Menu section on the left-hand side and click Marketing.

2. Add Program

From your Marketing dashboard, locate the Referral Program tab and click Add Program. This should immediately redirect you to the configurations panel for recurring rewards.

3. Configurations for Referrer

This section allows you to configure recurring rewards for referrers. To configure your recurring rewards for subscribers who refer your service to others;

  • Navigate to the For Referrer tab at the top of the page and change the rate to anywhere between 5% and 50% from the Credit per Referral section.

  • To change the duration of payments, navigate to the Duration section, also in the For Referrer tab, and click the Length of subscription drop menu. This should allow you to set the duration to anywhere between 1 and 12 months.

4. Configurations for Referred

This section will allow you to set discounts for new subscribers who were referred to your service by existing users. Note that the discount you set will be applied to the new subscriber's monthly subscription for the set duration. To configure recurring rewards for referred subscribers;

  • Navigate to the For Referred tab and in the Discount section, select a rate between 5% and 50%.

  • Scroll down to the Duration section and set this anywhere between 1 and 12 months.

5. Add a referral program

  • Once you've completed your configurations, navigate to the end of the page and click the Add referral program button. You should see a warning indicating that referral programs can only be deactivated, not modified, once created.

  • If you're satisfied with the terms of your new referral program, click the Add referral program button in the warning prompt.

6. Viewing your current referral program

To view a summary of your referral programs;

  • Launch your Subkit dashboard.
  • Navigate to the marketing menu.
  • Scroll to the bottom half of the page and click the Referral Programs section. This should display a summary of your referral programs.
